I’m here with a short little update. It’s sorta sad, but not as sad as you might fear.
Thing is, I enjoy keeping my stories on a regular schedules, but lately, it’s become a chore. Specifically, I’ve had a lot of trouble getting the next Monte Vista Story chapter out. It’s still not easy. I’m getting there, but I might not finish it until Friday.
This isn’t a problem per se, but the issue is that it keeps me from doing what I actually want to do. See, right now, I’m doing some more editing on Champion of Moonlight (Remember, my Totally Finished Story That I’m Not Going To Edit Anymore™?) , and it’s been occupying my mind most of the time. But because Monte Vista has to be ready for Saturday, I find myself constantly putting that on the back-burner.
So, what happens when I’m trying to force myself to write something other than what I want to be writing? I don’t write. At all. It’s super pointless and silly. So, the next chapter of A Monte Vista Story will be out this Saturday, and from then on, it won’t be on a schedule anymore. Next chapter could be out the day after or the week after or next month. I’m super sorry, but I need the freedom to write what I want – I’ll try and have a chapter out every other week/every month at least, but no guarantees. This isn’t my job, after all – it’s a hobby.
There won’t be any changes to Champion. It’ll be out every other Saturday as planned because while I’m still editing, it’s much more finished than Monte Vista.
That’s all I wanted to say today, so I hope you have a great old time, and I’ll see you Saturday for the next chapter.
