Schedule Schmedule

Hi guys,

I’m here with a short little update. It’s sorta sad, but not as sad as you might fear.

Thing is, I enjoy keeping my stories on a regular schedules, but lately, it’s become a chore. Specifically, I’ve had a lot of trouble getting the next Monte Vista Story chapter out. It’s still not easy. I’m getting there, but I might not finish it until Friday.

This isn’t a problem per se, but the issue is that it keeps me from doing what I actually want to do. See, right now, I’m doing some more editing on Champion of Moonlight (Remember, my Totally Finished Story That I’m Not Going To Edit Anymore™?) , and it’s been occupying my mind most of the time. But because Monte Vista has to be ready for Saturday, I find myself constantly putting that on the back-burner.

So, what happens when I’m trying to force myself to write something other than what I want to be writing? I don’t write. At all. It’s super pointless and silly. So, the next chapter of A Monte Vista Story will be out this Saturday, and from then on, it won’t be on a schedule anymore. Next chapter could be out the day after or the week after or next month. I’m super sorry, but I need the freedom to write what I want – I’ll try and have a chapter out every other week/every month at least, but no guarantees. This isn’t my job, after all – it’s a hobby.

There won’t be any changes to Champion. It’ll be out every other Saturday as planned because while I’m still editing, it’s much more finished than Monte Vista.

That’s all I wanted to say today, so I hope you have a great old time, and I’ll see you Saturday for the next chapter.

    1. My experience these past weeks working the schedule is that I push out stuff that I’m not satisfied with. I’d still like to see if I can stick to a chapter every other week, but this way it can be out Sunday or Monday or Friday. Maybe some day I’ll return to it, but for now it’s the right thing to do.

      1. I’ve been posting a chapter once a week for more than a year (ever since I started my blog). I can’t imagine not doing it now, plus most of the time it was Saturday, there were Sundays sneaking in a few times. Soon I got it to the same time always- 3 pm on Saturdays.

      2. That’s really impressive 🙂 You’re pretty awesome!
And like I said – I might return to it once I’m in a better place, but I’ve been massively stressed and there’s a written exam coming up for me soon, which means I won’t have much time for writing. After that, we’ll see 🙂

      3. Good luck! I’m afraid I’m sometimes pushing other things away because of chapters. I can’t help myself, though. Aww, thank you so much. Some of them suck because they were rushed, but, haha

  1. No! This is totally unacceptable!

*ducks and hides from all the fans*

Sheesh, I was kidding guys ;-D

But, seriously, Lou, I think we must have said this a million times (and I know we’re gonna say it a million more because, if you’re anything like me, you gotta say sorry even when you haven’t done anything) its your frikken story XD we’re just the fangirls and nerds and simmers (and closet dorks in my case… Wait! What you mean that isn’t still in the closet?!? I demand a re-uncoming out*!!!) So you do what you do and we’ll be here rooting for you and your simmies! ‘Cause, you’re Lou, and we love you!

    1. Ha, ha, I got what you were trying to say, Mags 😉
Thanks, as always, for the support. I do know that it’s my story and all, but I still like to keep my readers informed and interested 🙂

  3. This is exactly my posting schedule! I try posting once a week but the days vary. If scheduling is too much for you, then by all means, don’t do it. I know it is for me 🙂 You should mainly be having fun with this blog, it’s not a job! 😉 Oh, and good luck on your exam!
